Do we need villains or antagonists? Do we need people who are opposed to the solarpunk concept to add drama? Do we even need drama?
There are many ways to explore conflict and disagreement in something like solarpunk that doesn’t require a Big Bad. People working together to find the best solution for, say, harnessing electricity or getting a farm going — everyone’s going to have different ideas and the group process itself can be a hive of inspiration for interpersonal drama. Or trying to support each other through a significant loss, such as death or rejection, and how that impacts the community.
