I think the answer is yes and no ,
I'll make it as brief and precise as possible ,
All intelligent people are procreating less , dumb one are doing it more and more and their bad gene is spreading super fast.
But we are in what I call golden age of knowledge , we need knowledge , the rise of A.I means the person with a lot of knowledge and ability to learn multiple fields fastly are the ones that are going to get a job , get food and survive.
The one with superior intelligent capabilities survives , the dumb ones won't , the one with skepticism , logic , critical thinking , ability to understand a lot of information faster will win.
That is the desirable trait now , smart is the new sexy.
Besides the crispr technology will allows us to modify genes for higher intellect making us not fell into idiocracy.
Any discussion is welcome , the more perspectives the better , we need more information to save mankind from getting into trouble.

If the species gets dumber , progressive slows and we might March to idiocracy , in the future like 200-300 years ahead people if got very dumb then the ones who have a good intellect have a chance to survive and the other ones won't , that's all I am saying.
Like basic survival.
I am not saying dumb ones are undesirable , or they are useless price of trash and should be killed or am not saying about genocide here.
