Disney Metaverse crossover
Disney had given us a hint back in 2020 about incorporating theme park metaverse. It was just a tiny idea back then, which has now been backed by US patents.
On December 28, Walt Disney Company received a patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office. It confirms their ownership towards creating “a virtual-world simulator in a real-world venue.”
The news is currently trending and has fans from all across the globe excited. People can now experience a virtual tour of Disney Parks and experience it like they are physically present there.
The simulator that Disney wishes to create will allow every interested visitor to get a detailed insight into the parks. Further, they will access it through a hardware processor, a configuration device, and tracking system.
How will Disney metaverse work?
Disney needs first to map out the environment of their park and what they wish to share with virtual participants. They will offer a real-world venue to make each interested visitor take a complete tour.
Do you think it is similar to augmented reality? Well, there is one significant difference that distinguishes this experience from AR.
