Russian officials, including Putin, think they are actually winning this war, the sad reality is that they are not winning this war, Putin managed to achieve 0 objectives in this war, Crimea was occupied since 2014. Yet this war is costing Putin billions of dollars everyday other day, sometimes even more than that.
Russian submarine together with water vessels were severely damaged in Crimea. All of this is just the beginning for Ukrainian armed forced. Zelenskyy vowed to retake Crimea, if Ukraine will manage to retake the peninsula, Ukraine would achieve enormous amount of strategic advantage, all of which would be put to use, immediately.
Putin’s response, as is known today, is most likely to mobilize even more troops, more young men to this senseless war, Putin is sending young men to die, being poorly trained, and not respected by any means. And yet, Putin is a man of faith, based on what is circulating the media, yet he sends more and more of his people to die for some objectives that he cannot achieve.
There is a serious problem in Russia, as to why Russian troops are underperforming, and besides that, alcohol consumption is pushed upon Russian people from young age, Russian government makes billions of dollars from this. Maybe Russian troops aren’t physically or mentally prepared for this conflict.
But based upon the fact that Russian recruited men are dying in this war, and achieving nothing, just comes to show that Putin is the least of people who care about other lives, including his own fellow people. And right now, there are some claims that Russia will once again launch a new mobilization.
