The US Space Force has awarded $1.6 million Direct-to-Phase II SBIR contract to Arises Inc. to demonstrate the construction of a standalone 3-axis stabilized satellite platform, which is to be called "The Port," as reported by Interesting Engineering.

The Port will make space operations more resilient. It will also help the US Space Force to expand its commercial activities in space.
The Port
